I have several projects that I should complete this winter and plan to post pictures and details but in the meantime I thought I would start with an easy one both to post and to perform.

I did not like the plastic handles on the cabinet doors. My boat has three of them. For a total of under $15 I bought 3 replacement cabinet door handles. I picked these up at Lowe's. I also replaced the packaged screws with stainless steel versions; both for the rust resistance and also the packaged screws were just a few millimeters too long. I suppose the boat doors are not as thick as typical kitchen cabinet doors.

In addition to the updated look, IMHO, the new handles also are a bit more functional as you can use them to hang things from now.

Oh if anyone wants or needs the old plastic ones give me an address and they are yours (assuming shipping is not too much).

They look much better. That said we often need to move around the cabin underway or in rough seas, the shape would be sharp if one was pitched into it. I may worry to much. MM

Funny, the original ones I picked out looked more like industrial instrument handles (just a rounded over bar of metal) but my wife liked these and the idea of being able to hang towels, etc on them. I'm not too worried.
