Hi I’ve replaced my cabin waste water sump pump box, but the waste pipe is leaking somewhere along it’s route to the boat outlet. Looking for vid clips or instructions on how to remove boat interior to trace and find the leak please. Water in coming back into cabin under stairs through carpet and filling the rear cabin area. Sundancer 335 2005 model. Thanks all.

Same problem in my 2001 280SD. Have read water source is commonly from leakage around the port side porthole. Look for staining below the porthole, behind the dinette. Also could be coming from the air conditioner unit drip pan. Finally, bilge water from engine room leaking forward from drain hole into sump bilge space.

...and the most obvious, outside water rain/wash may be be leaking in the cabin through the main hatch.
In other words, it may not be coming from the drain pipe.

many thanks for this. I’ll see if I can get behind the dinette unit and look for leaks... doesn’t sound like an easy fix... but hey that’s boating... thanks again.

Had a similar problem. In the small cabinet beneath the stairs (storage for vacuum hose) there should be an access port permitting you to get to hose which runs from the sump box to the engine bay. If a hose is in fact the issue you can isolate the leak and make the necessary repair and/or replacement.
