Cabin speaker cover removal

I'm having trouble removing the covers on the clarion speakers in the cabin of my 2000 260da. I tried twisting them and prying them off and I don't think I will be able to remove them without damaging something. Looking for help if anyone on here has done it. Thanks Great Forum.

I think there is a notch on the bottom side that allows you to pry between the grill and the basket.

I replaced mine on my 2004 240 Sundeck. Don't know if yours are the same, but my Sea Ray labeled covers twist off by turning 1/2' clockwise. The notch at the bottom is just a water drain.

Thanks but I can't twist them and there is no notch in the bottom. These are the cloth speaker covers in the cabin on each side of the mirror.

Ive found a number of salon speaker grills held on by velcro or upholstery type plastic clips

Alright ill try prying on them a little harder. They probably won't fit the new speakers anyway.
