Anybody have a quick link to supplier for a 12v cabin LED? One of the boats I looked at b/f buying mine had all the bulbs swapped out (cabin/cockpit/anchor) for LEDs and would like to do same. Would make a bunch of 'net surfin easier if somebody has done it and remembers the site/PN's. Thanks!

Here are some LED sellers I've found online. I've actually ordered from the first 3. Got G4 LED bulbs for the cabin reading lights from Sailor Sams. They were the expensive 3W ones, and work great. Got LED festoon bulbs for the cockpit lights from superbrightLEDs.

I'm experimenting with other lights, especially for the anchor light.

Please share your experience.

Look around each site, as most sell lots of LED products, not just the page I linked to.

Eric, are you referring to the LED bulb that costs $56! :smt101

Yup. That's the one. I got 2. Seems expensive, but they'll never burn out for all practical purposes, emit no heat to add to the cabin, are very bright, and use so little juice that I don't worry about battery drain.

Just completed a conversion to LED lighting on my 250 Dancer which included cabin, courtesy and navigation lights. I found a company, "LEDLight.com" which provided reasonable pricing and prompt delivery. They are just what the doctor ordered.

Hey guys,
my son has a small company that sells LED's and HID's. He went to install some LED's into my car.

He was using 63 LED 1156's for my overhead lights down under, and 194 4-LED Bulbs in the small light by the refrigerator and up on top of the boat by the driver seat.

None would power on. He plugged in the stock bulbs and they worked, then plugged in the LED's and none would work anywhere.

He was wondering if the boat needs resistors?

These were the bulbs he used...

I am a complete LED newbie so I do not have any idea, and my son was at a lose as to why they wouldn't work. (He normally works with cars)
