cabin heating controls

This year i am having allot of difficulty in controlling the temperature in the cabin when the heat is on. I have downloaded the manual and reset the controls to factory defaults to eliminate any accidental programming. It seems that the heat comes on when triggered by the thermostat, but doesn't go off unless the temperature is manually changed on the thermostat.
Any ideas?
