Has anyone ever changed the track and rollers that the cabin door sits on? Looks like the entire console must come out in order to remove the door. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Didn't you already have a Cabin door thread going?

I left this link on your other cabin door thread. I don't know if your 290 has the same set up as my 330 but since they are the same year I would assume they are similar.

I hope this helps. Todd :smt024

Thanks Todd, unfortunately it looks like the set-up is different. My cabin door slides from the closed position to the starboard to be open. Once open the door is tucked under the console. When the door is closed, enough of the door remains under the console preventing over extension. Really looks like the console needs to be removed which makes me very nervous, to many wires to deal with.

Wow, That sucks....I would be nervous too. This set up was one of the easiest repairs I have done but I didn't think it would be when I started. Good luck man. Let me know how you make out.

Todd, where did you get the parts? SR?
Russ, The local Sea Ray dealer (Marinemax Westhampton) said the trucks were available @ $42.00 a pair. I have been waiting 3 weeks for him to get back to me on other parts. Meanwhile I saw a thread on here searching for replacement sliding door tracks that had cracked. Someone had done the leg work and found that Teak Isle Mfg. in Fl was the Manufacturer. The fellows name is Jim Cox and the # is 407-656-8885. The total for all parts ( track, train & trucks ) was $265 plus $24.76 to ship to NY. I also saw the trucks on ebay for about 60 bucks a pair. My tracks are not cracked but seeing that others were dealing with the prob I figured I'd replace them. I am still searching for a phantom bilge vent cover and did not want to go thru another headache later if Teak Isle goes out of biz. They are the 3rd co to take over mfg of these since they were produced for Sea Ray.:wow:
