Just purchased a new-to-me AJ in November.
(already posted this in the "official AJ" thread - but now my wife is on me to fix it as she doesn't want to deal w/ mold and wet carpets blah blah (even though we're not at the boat until the weekend)

Noticed when we started to use it, that the door leaks - but never paid it much mind; until this past weekend, when we were in the middle of a thunderstorm while at the dock and it was pouring inside (no mooring or enclosure on)

I put a towel on the steps to try and stop it... and would deal w it in the am
FF to the morning - I looked at the top corner and the felt strip is not even close to touching the body of the boat - to the point where I can stick my finger between the door and the body of the boat....

The door opens and closes and locks fine with no issue and seems like it fits correctly - except for there

is there some sort of weird adjustment that could be made - without taking apart the entire boat ?

Not to familiar with the amberjack but is it a slide door or a folding door?

The cabin doors I've seen all have a track or groove around to direct the water to the floor and then there is a drain of some type that allows the water to go overboard.

Is the drain clogged up?

Sliding door.
See if this picture helps in anyway

Thanks for your time ! AJ DOOR2.jpeg AJ DOOR.jpeg

If that gap is present w/o pushing up on the door your track might have some issues or came detached some how.

When I slide mine closed on my 98 290 DA that felt piece is pretty tight.

The roller wheels on the bottom probably have some type of height adjustment built into them, kind of like a patio door has.
