Take them home and put them in the washing machine with Ivory soap. Partially dry them and bring back to the boat. Reinstall slightly damp and they will shrink tightly. Its even easier if the marina has washing facilities.

I believe there was a thread in the past that discussed this but I could not find it. My runners in the cabin are getting stained and I would like to clean them.
Any help would be great.

I ususally buy a quart of 303 Sunbrella cleaner and dump it in the washer with the three pieces of runners I have in the 340, then I treat them with about another quart of 303 Sunbrella treatment. I do that once or twice a year and they usually stay fairly clean from the treatment. treated they repel dir quite well.

Sunbrella also recommends Woolite for washing. Machine wash cold or luke warm, then air dry. NEVER put the runners or any other sunbrella in the dryer!

I do what Frank H. said. A big washing machine and a little soap. When we did our month trip this summer, those runners were in the marina washing machines about every 3 days seeing as we had 4 kids and 2 dogs on the boat... and I spill my beer on everything. This was the fifth and last season for the runners though. They are officially worn out and have duct tape holding the back together in one spot. However, the carpet looks brand new! Need to get some new ones made.

Those canvas carpet covers are great. I should have put them in my kids bedroom at home.

Here's a pretty radical approach that works surpisingly well. Spread them out on a clean driveway; pour liquid Tide with bleach on them; mist them to get them wet and scrub with a clean, stiff push broom. Rinse thoroughly when done. When I had runners, I did this after we cruised and before we put the boat away. Electric dryers have a cycle for delicate fabrics which is an air dry no heat cycle. 30 minutes is usually enough. The runners look brand new when done. While this is not the "Sunbrella way," it works well and does not seem to have any effect on the life of the fabric which is tuff stuff.

Pressure cleaner with degreaser does the trick. Had new ones custom made for the whole boat for $175.
