Well thanks to all of the advice I received regarding my heater, I had it repaired and lo and behold, the buyers that made the original offer came back.

I took them on the sea trial (I guess it would actually be a river trial) today and they loved it. Mechanical survey Tuesday and haul out and hull survey Friday. I don't think the survey will come up with much but it always comes up with something, right?

If all goes well I will be one step closer to a new/old boat in about a week. :smt038:smt089:smt001:smt009 I guess we have some mixed emotions but we are happy to be moving up.

Keep you collective fingers crossed for me.

May I ask did you have the boat repowered at some stage with the 7.4's or did it come standard with them? Just wondering what kind of cruising range you got out of them and how much fuel your boat holds?

I am looking at a 36' Silverton here with twin 7.4's on V-drives, it has a fuel capacity of 286 US Gallons so 143 US Gallons per engine.

If I eneded up buying it I need to do a 300nm trip to take her to our marina.

Best of luck with the survey I hope it all pans out well and you can move on to your next boat quickly.

What year silverton ? I had a 86 40 convertible with the crusader 454's ,same fuel capacity.23,500lbs weight not loaded shed go about 200 miles on a fill, but i have to admit i was younger and ran at 21-24 knts when optimal was 17-19 so that alone as i understand it could have given an extra 50 miles per fillup.

It's a 1998 360 Express with twin Mercruiser 454 Magnums. Thanks for the info.

That's great news. You see, despite all what might have sounded like criticism actually put you in the right direction and now you're on to the next step in the process.

Good luck with the survey and the completion of the sale.
