I think the whole concept of bumper stickers works better when they are actually on a bumper...

That is true, BUT, I imagine most of us here are as anal about our cars as we are about our boats. Bumper stickers aren't exactly the classiest car accessory........ if you know what I mean?

I bet the bayliner site has tons of real life bumper stickers they could show.... :smt043

oops, there I go showing my elitist liberal bias again

I realize most of the Obama bumper stickers got taken off the road with the whole cash for clunkers deal, but surely there are a few of them out there somewhere?

Besides, it doesn't have to be YOUR bumper!

Actually I beg to differ, those cash for clunkers cars must of had "W '04" stickers on them because they all mysteriously disappeared:thumbsup:

Lets get back to bumper stickers:

well Chuck1..... I guess you never considered the correlation between outsourcing American jobs and people being out of work so long that they need welfare, did you?

Here's your sign:

Hmm, hard to let that one slide...

Globalization has been happening for 50+ years. It's driven primarily by available resources (raw materials, labor, etc.), market expansion into developing countries, and, oddly enough, profits.

We are competing in a global economy. If American companies don't do what is necessary to be competitive with their non-American competition, they will be out of business. And they will be providing NO jobs, not just fewer jobs. So don't blame an American company for hiring capable staff in locations where the fully burdened costs are 20% of what they are here. Because that is EXACTLY where their competitors are hiring them from.

So how do you encourage American companies to keep more jobs domestically? Simple. You enable them to be more competitive on the global market. And you do that by not discouraging them to grow domestically. Lower taxes, less regulation, less interference.

Oh, and about importing cheap labor? Get control of the freakin' borders already. Do that, and we have more jobs for people that are paying taxes, and less need for taxes to help the people that aren't paying any. Seems pretty obvious to me...

OK, back to the bumper stickers!
