The outdrive should be down for storage but must be powered up for travel when trailered. I forgot the latter and now need to power up to fit the stainless skeg repair sheath. The tonneau cover is stretched tight and I don't want to pull it off of my trailered boat to get at the battery selector switch, which is "off" for storage. I did hook a remote start or "bump" button from the auto parts store to both electrical sides of the switch. The button hangs out just above the swim platform. I can depress the button and the exterior outdrive lift rocker simultaneously to move the outdrive without fuss with the canvas. Picture to follow.
