Bud Light

Our gas dock at the marina no longer sells it, owned by a retired Marine. Boat fridge is fully stocked with Miller Lite now as I was forced to convert. The boat head isnt comfortable for sitting and peeing

FYI. I have never liked any Budweiser product. Main ingredient is rice, not hops. They the largest buyer of rice in the world.
Cheap beer made cheap. Never liked it.
You know who else consumes a lot of rice? Thai Ladyboys.

Back when I was known to pound a few beers (quit way over 30 years ago), it was pretty much Budweiser or Miller. The Ford and Chevy of beers. Yeah, there were others but Bud and Miller dominated. Coors was the brand we all thought was cool because we couldn't buy it. It wasn't sold east of the Mississippi back then. Now? Waayyy too many choices...

You are old

College days - Miller Ponies, Budweiser and when funds got low Natty Light or Stroh's depending on how bad finances where. Black Label was an option, but only in a worse case scenario! Michelob Light is what the girls drank.

my entire takeaway from this thread:
I still don’t drink beer
Bud light was terrible before this fiasco
Bud light is still terrible

I really want that garbage truck cab and chassis in the top right of that meme for a rat rod tow rig project

My buddy came to visit us on the boat.....we are up on an island in Michigan....I get the shuttle boat to pick him up and he comes walking across the parking lot with a case of Bud light.....I said oh phuck no take that shit back to your truck.... He brought it as a joke....because he knows how wound up I get..... I met a democrat this weekend drinking bud light.... I razzed him a bit, well the bruises on my arm from my wife punching me suggests maybe razzed him alot..... I left the case of bud light on his boat in the morning before we left.

Northern Ale. Made Saturday afternoon beer runs into Canada, came back with trunk full of cases of the stuff. Back in ancient times when there was no border between USA and the Canuks. We made so many beer runs into Canada the border guards knew us. Probably drank more Canadian beer than Creekwood and he lives there. Good times.
Dam I miss that stuff. Best beer/ale you ever tasted.

We were guests this weekend of the people who own the boat that won the Water Follies Hydroplane races on the Columbia River. They had a huge hospitality tent set up that offered free food, snacks, beer and wine. Beer selections included Coors Light and Bud Light. I asked the young lady serving the beverages how much Bud Light they had given out.

The answer was ZERO.

Drank Moosehead long before this Bud Lite escapade started and still drinking Moosehead. I don't think I've ever had a Bud Lite and pretty confident I never will.

Maybe all those Bud Lite drinkers initially switched to make their point, and then realized there are real beer alternatives, and never went back? They need all the marketing they can muster to keep the masses convinced that it's good beer (ack!), and this was a fail.
I was a homebrewer for a number of years, including the period when Goose Island sold out to AB. The homebrew world, and many craft beer drinkers, (there are probably more homebrewers than you realize, by several factors) were devastated, and insisted on a boycott. Eventually they came to their senses and realized it wasn't the death of the brewery, just a financial decision to maintain the brand, and good beer was still being made.
