You make your own choices. Good on you. I've decided we are born with a finite number of shits to give. As I get older and my inventory begins to dwindle, I don't give a shit near as often.

That reminds me of terminology that my Dad shared with me many years ago when I was going thru a divorce. He told me I needed to learn and employ 'Constructive Apathy'. . .
My initial reaction was "Isn't that just about a contradiction of terms?" to which he replied,
"No . . . that is the ability to know when to not give a shit".

Oh wow! Absolutely! I hit that about age 58 - 60. It’s a gradual progression. Now I maxed out; I care about hitting the bullseye at the range, but not much else.

I'm 54 and have been there at least the past 4 or 5 years maybe longer.
 
Yeah, my give a shit list has gotten a lot shorter last few years. Pay attention and worry about what matters - I am learning most things don't matter. A buddy at work always says "Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff!"

as long as the crust is at least 10 years newer I think you’re OK :D
