sorry I don't like it.

I don’t like $15/hour at McDonalds…. I hired a guy the other day to work in shipping receiving part time at my business and paid $17/hr and thought I got a deal. First thing he said was he was going to Vegas for a week next week and as soon as Australia opens he is going there for a month…..and I still think I got a deal.

We are in trouble here…

@firecadet613 might be able to confirm this…we are being told Biden is keeping cargo ships 72 miles off shore from ports because they don’t have to report them when over 72 miles and they are building rapidly…. Things are getting bad and will get worse

Correct. They are now floating 40+ miles offshore as then they aren't "in port". Add them all up, yep, it's a new record. To top it off, many have started "slow steaming" here...no reason to race to LA/LB when you'll be stuck floating way out at sea....

This administration is a bunch of geniuses...

fjb.

The most transparent administration ever! Isn't that what we always hear? They sent a team out to their media arm offices to demand better news, quit reporting the bad things. But at least we don't have mean tweets. FJB.

Hmmm....that doesn't look to be the case outside the port of LA?

Those are ALL vessels. I am going by what industry sources are saying and a weekly report my wife sends me...here's a glimpse...

A very speculative post from a CEO. That said, Ally has like 10 employees I think. :)

UPS Supply Chain Solutions is the best free site I've seen for semi-realtime logistics news. None of the paid services I'm subscribed to have mentioned this 40 mile gig. But that's not to say it's not a "thing". A very interesting time to be involved in global supply chains either way!

My wife gets a weekly (sometimes twice weekly) update from one of her 3PLs....Freightwaves also seems to be good...

Here's a teaser of part of this weeks email...

I wish we did more manufacturing there! Not as cheap as China, but good quality comes out of mexico, and its not slave labor like China. VW has been manufacturing cars in Puebla, for many years now.

Curious as to whether anyone knows how many man hours are needed to build a boat in the 19-21’ range. That is the average size I believe they are building in Mexico.

Sad to see the MFG move offshore. Back in the 80's & 90's I had a Bayliner Plant in Cumberland, MD I used to service when I worked for Georgia Pacific it is long gone. I then had the SeaRay Plant in TN when I worked for MSC Industrial Supply and watched that plant fade from it's former glory. I just really wonder what it will really take to get MFGing to move back to our shores.

So if Train Wreck Joe is so worried about climate change then wouldn't he want manufacturing back in the US. where power is regulated by the EPA and the products aren't put on a ships to deliver them. I'm sure all the countries that are receiving coal from us use top notch pollution controls so they don't effect climate change.

Biden could give a rats ass about climate change. All he cares about is pointing at the problem, making you scared of it and blaming republicans for it.
Look at his appointed head of FEMA, Deanne Criswell blaming Climate change for the tornadoes this past weekend and stating this is the new norm……. Now there is a statement I would like to see the science behind.

I did get a laugh from that one. Pretty sure Train Wreck Joe is taking the credit for coining the phrase Tornado Alley.

Hang all the Corporate Officers and 'share holders'.

My last 2 VW Jettas are of the “German Engineered-Mexican Built” system of production!
