Broken prop hub?

So I was crusing at a comfortable 25 knots enjoying the day and all of a sudden without warning I lost all thrust. The boat never stalled but when I engaged the drive the boat would rev as if I was in idle but the boat never moved forward or backward. I raised it up and noticed the prop was spinning but wasnt getting any propulsion. Does this sound like a broken hub? Would it just go as I was cruising? I am 100% positive I didnt hit the ground, maybe I clipped something just under the water?
