Looks like you are off to a good start on that upholstery! Have you done that type of work before? It's something I've always wanted to tackle, but never have...yet.

No I have no experience with a sewing machine, went and got one from a flea market, thanks to you -tube, learned how to troubleshoot, bought marine grade vinyl, thread, and used old peices for pattern, it is easy breezy, and as long as you have a heavy duty needle and thread, you don't even have to have a special machine, saves alot I'm sure.

Hay I just wanted to tell you I got a 1984 Sundancer 245 and The upholstery and everything else looks just like yours. I just love it I am down here in Bradenton Fl. and get to use it quite a bit. I got it from 2 owner and he had it for 20 years and really kept up with it.

Wow youre really lucky it was taken care of, we cant wait to enjoy it. I know the kids will have a blast, and we will too. It's amazing how much happier a family is on water. Were in Clarksville TN, we only have the Cumberland river locally, which is eeek, but its only about a 45 minute drive to KY lakes. We thought it would be a winter project but seems like its going a little faster than expected. We still have alot of unknowns about electrical, motor, and all the technical aspects of it, oh and no outdrive, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed we get lucky. Trailer and boat was 800, so were blessed to have such a nice classic Sea Ray and I'm sure you feel the same about yours too!

Whats wrong with the river in clarksville? How are they doing on the construction of the new marina?

Our River has alot of Debris thats finally settling from the flood we had this Spring. I think the Marina will be done by Summer. I can't wait to see it finished, right now its alot of holes, dirt, and construction.

Heres the Pics, anyone have pictures of a '80's 260 Sundancer Bathroom for ideas? Thanks.

I love that 12 pack of Bud light in the picture

Projects like that (in my experience) take more than a little "thinkin' drinkin'"

No wonder the boat looks "trashed"...

Looking good so far. You want picture of the original head or upgraded ones? Whats the status of yours now?

Thank You! This is what were working with right now, I'd like some ideas on what the heads supposed to look like, or could look like, either would be a big help for us. I'm not sure if were supposed to have a shower or not and theres not alot of help online, this community has been the greatest help so far.:smt100

Our 260 is one year younger and the head looks nothing like that.
Where you have monkey fur ours is fiberglass with the sink/cabinet molded in. The shower crews into the sink faucet. The floor is fiberglass, including the lower step where yours is carpeted. Ours has a drain there that goes into the stepdown pump.

Do you have two hoses or holes for the pottie? I only see maybe one fitting there in the corner.

While I have bunches of pictures of the boat, I don't have any of the head :) so I'd have to snap a few the next time I'm down there. I can get some of our 240 WE which resembles yours more than the 260DA I think.

Thank you so much, there are two holes, yours sounds nice, glad to know @ your shower h/u. Ill keep a lookout for your pics, and thanks again!!

I have a '81 sundancer 260, my dash is not the same as yours, from what i can see and my head is encased in fiberglass with a drain in floor and a sump pump under floor in front of aft cabin for shower.would like to see more pics. yours should have a 5.7 mercruiser.i just made a new dash panel and put in new gauges, pics coming soon.by the way,i use to live in clarksville,tn.,small world

I have a 1981 245 and the head looks just the same - looks like they put the macerator (sp?) in the closet also the button to operate. I will get you a photo.
The head is a seafarer that connects up to the macerator and water filler hose from the starboard side.
The water pump under the floor by the steps is not for the toilet as far as I know - just water that gets into the galley
