I am still trying to figure out switches and all the little tricks to my new to me 2009 52 sedan bridge. I have a breaker marked as aft systems that keeps tripping on me. I think it feeds outlet under stairs, ice maker, grill and I'm not sure of what else. I know it worked when I first got the boat as I used the outlet under the stairs and the ice maker worked. Now none of it works. I haven't done anything electrical to the boat or changed anything (on purpose) to the boat. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any input!

One thing folks often overlook, is the possibility that the breaker itself is bad. They dont last as long on a boat as they do in your house, as they tend to get switched on and off more often. Every switch cycle puts wear on the contacts due to the small internal arc between the contacts. Over time they build up resistence which can eventually lead to them tripping.

Take a look at your electrical CWD in the back of your Owners Manual. Trace the circuit from the breaker to each branch and you’ll likely find GFI outlet. Check the outlet, it’s likely tripped. If that’s the case just reset it and you should be good. That won’t be the case if the breaker on the panel keeps tripping. That would indicate a ground in your circuit, not in the GFI branch, or a light breaker. If it’s the former, that’s a real pia to locate. If it’s the latter, replace the panel breaker as suggested above.

I checked the breaker in the panel and switched it out. No change. I also disconnected outlet under the stairs which appears to be 1st in loop. Breaker stayed on. Changed gfi and put back together. Breaker tripped. So it's after that. I unplugged ice maker and grill still same result. Weird part is it was working fine and I changed nothing.
