Bravo 3 prop shaft seal

So before I bought my used boat, the prop shaft seal was leaking. The dealer agreed to change it before I purchased.
5 months later it started leaking again for 2 weeks. Last week I added more oil and today I took a look and it stoped leaking?
Any ideas as to why it stopped leaking all of a sudden? Doesn’t make any sense. Was the seal not properly set and not it is?
It’s a 2007 bravo 3 on a sea ray slx 27.
Any replies would be help full. Thx

I am in the process of fixing my shaft seals now. I have been loosing gear oil for the last nine years. The drive was pressure tested two times and no leaks were present. Last week I lost about 5 oz of gear oil so in the shop it went. The Mechanic said it was leaking out of the shaft seal. Hes going to replace the seals and we will go from there. Hopefully this will solve the issue. If not it will be put on the chopping block. I'm done..

What is this costing you? Just to have an idea.

Haven't gotten the bill Yet. I'll let you know after i pick up the boat.

I got the bill and it is going to cost 1800.00. Parts (gimbal bearing,bellows is included in price, Labor and haul out.
