I have always had an alpha one out drive, My new boat has a bravo 3, someone told me that my ear muffs wont work with this out drive to winterize it, is this true also with the alpha I would change the lube after winterizing since the lube is warm and drains easier is this still the same process or is there an easier way with the bravo. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I used ear muffs on a B3 for years, and changed drive oil... same as the Alpha I had previous... no difference.

Your good with the muffs... same thing used them for years

not sure about the alpha but the bravo you need a hand pump to fill new lube from the bottom drain hole to the top hole. Quick and easy ....

Yep. Used the same muffs on my Alpha 1, Bravo III, and Mercury outboard. No idea why you were told different. And yes, you use the hand pump to pump the fluid up with the Alpha and Bravo. The only difference is the Bravo has the lube monitor on the front of the engine that you have to top off when you are done.

Thanks everyone, As soon as the Mississippi gets back in its banks and I van get to the marina. I will get her winterized
