I was considering buying an older 240 Sundancer Sundeck. The deal breaker for me is not having one of those little heads onboard. (for the girls) I know the 2005 model has one, what year did Sea Ray start adding them?

Is there a chart anywhere along the lines of "if you want to go to the bathroom on a Sea Ray, here are your options". (new and old) :)

You can do your own research at searay.com

Look under customer support; model archives for up to 2002, then try models; past models for later years.

1. No such thing as a "Sundancer Sundeck" Sundancer is Sea Ray's cabin cruiser. Sundeck is Sea Ray's Deck Boat line.
2. The 190 / 200 / Sundeck's do not have a head but have the compartment to put a port o potty if you are small enough to contort into one.
3. The 220 / 240 / 260 / 270 Sundeck's have the port o potty standard and in the 260 / 270 optional vacuum flush if you ordered when new.

My 220 has a port o potty with pump out. The holding tank is permanently mounted and has a top side fitting for vacuum pump out stations to connect to. I am 6'1' and have used the cabin to change in before, it's cramped but do able. Wife and other guests not as tall as I am don't have issues with it. The head is lighted but unventilated so you won't be staying in there very long on a warm summer day.We have used ours all time during the summer.

Like Frank said, go to searay.com, click on archives and you can look at any previous year models and see what they had to offer.

Best of luck in your search.

Best regards

If it's a used 240 Sundeck and does not have a head, it maybe came with one and it disappeared somewhere along the way. If that's the case, you should be able to buy a new head pretty cheap, so I wouldn't let it be a deal breaker if it's otherwise the right boat.

My 1993 240BR has a head and shower facility with a vacuflush toilet
Its an essential item for the Admiral and her friends even though its pretty cramped..:smt024

I have to agree that the older 240 Sundeck you were thinking of buying had a head at one time. I looked at several mid 90's vintage before I bought my '98 210 Sundeck. The head was located in a compartment just in front of the helm station. It sounds like the previous owner decided to take it out. As mentioned earlier it's an easy fix, put in a porta-pottie. You may want to consider looking at Sundeck models that are 98 or newer, they will have more of a deep V hull then the older models and a full windshield for those cooler fall and spring days. Hope this helps.
