I added the blue seas plus kit on mine, one of the best mods to the boat. After the mod I didn’t have to reconnect the Bluetooth every time I turned off the engine to put a skier in the water

Don't do it, last year we had photos of a guy drilling giant holes in his transom to secure his tabs despite the plywood he had found. Better not to drill any holes in hull.

If it’s a flat spot you could glue it down with that 4500 adhesive caulk.
