I have a 48 sundancer and had problem with my bow thruster charger. The bow thruster all of a sudden became very weak. I checked the charger(promariner) and it indicated low voltage. The voltage on the charger was about 22 v but should of read 29.2 volts. I found a blown 25 amp fuse between the charger and the battery which when changed didn't help the problem.
About two days later, I tried the bow thruster and it worked perfectly normal. All indicators on the charger were normal. I have no idea what happened.
I spoke with Jim Mitchell (603 766-7603) at promariner who was very helpful.
I think there might of been a surge or a loose wire.
Or you leaned on the thruster too hard, causing the battery bank to become heavily discharged and causing it to try to draw too much current out of the charger - hence the blown fuse.
