Bow pulpits and west systems.

Good morning my fellow Searay family. I recently found that I have some core rot in the bow pulpit area just forward of the windless. I'm going to have this corrected but the glass repair guy wants to use West System over cut the top gelcoat , remove the rot and then replace with poly urethane core board. It's not cheap in either scenario but wanted to ask of opinions on West System. Seems like the easy way around the right way??

Are you simply asking if West Systems is good stuff? Yes, it is. Probably the most expensive epoxy system out there and others are just as good. But, yes, plenty good.
