I've had my 2006 240 DA for two months, and haven't had the opportunity to use it at night. Since I plan to be on the lake Saturday night - I thought I'd check out the navigation lights to make sure there are not any issues. To my surprise the bow light did not work - but the stern white light did work. I think they are on the same circuit, and the fuse below the steering wheel was intact. I looked at the bow bulb - and the filament looked ok, but sometimes its hard to tell. I'll change the bulb tomorrow, but wanted to check here to make sure there isn't any other obvious fuse/breaker etc I should be checking. thanks.

Most likely just a bad connection at the bulb itself. Remove the cover and check the contact.

I had the same issue on my 32. Checked the wiring, fuses, replaced the bulb, still didnt work. Checked the connections on the light and had power going to the contacts. Ended up changing the entire light unit with perko leds, they are great, much better than standard bulb lamps. Expensive but worth it.

Are you sure you didn't just turn on the "Anchor" light? There are 2 switches, one for "Anchor" and one for "Navigation" lights.

About four years I cleaned my bow light socket it corroded after only approximaetly two years (salt water) after I clened the buld connection I sprayed the entire fixture with Boeshield T-9. I had to replace bulb last week and opened up fixture after four years and it looked new no corrison.

Another endorsement for Boeshield T-9,

I had a similiar issue with my Nav/Anchor light. Neither lights worked. Opened it up and forward bulb was burnt out and rear facing bulb started working when I moved it slightly. Back bulb just wasn't making good contact.
