Bottom paint touchup?

Last year, I paid a professional to sand and paint the bottom of my boat. When it came out of the water, I noticed there are many chips of paint missing - some larger than others - where you can see the white bottom of my boat.

Is this normal? Can I just retouch these areas by myself? Or do I need a full repaint?

My bottom paint is designed to wear off....not chip off. What type of paint is it? I am planning on touching mine up come spring because it's only worn off by the waterline (tape boot) where I wash it the most trying not to hit the bottom paint, Mike.

Sounds to me that the prep was not done correctly. You should not have large chunks falling off.
