Boston Boat Show

i refuse to go on weekends....I leave for miami wednesday....I have a manicure and pedicure appointment Monday so i hope to go Tuesday

We went yesterday, not too crowded. There was a good selection of boats on display, if i'm not mistaken the biggest Searay at the show was the 450. I was hoping for more booths for vendors. t did make spring seem a little closer...

We went Sunday and it wasn't too crowded. Got a hat and a book at the Sea Ray exhibit and looked at a few SRs. Found an electrician from Narragansett (right down the street from the marina) who is affordable and who will install another AC outlet in the cabin. Our friends have a Cobalt but are thinking of a trawler, so we looked at some nice Nordic Tugs and a great Mainship. I got to ask some questions at the Interlux booth about painting trim tabs. All in all it was a good day and only made me drool a little more for Spring :smt001

Im heading in Friday afternoon to check things out dont know if its a good idea I always tend to spend to much money I dont have when I go to these things but it will take care of my boat fix for now

Good time at the boat show yesterday. Went with Henry and a couple of friends that like to take the time to see every boat. The Sea Ray exhibit was well represented, and they gave out some nice gifts. The 450 was beautiful, but I really liked the 310.

There was a huge presence of pontoon boats. They had Tiki bars, slides, 200hp motors, etc. They've come a long way.
The salesmen said that segment is growing very fast.

I thought Monterey and Chaparral had some really nice boats. The fit and finish looked great, and they were VERY creative with their large bowriders. Some of my favorites at the show.

To me, Four Winns struck out. The beam on their 28' cruiser was too small, and it seems they cheaped out on quite a few things.

We did find a new gadget in one of the pontoon boats that is a must have. Its a cupholder insert that holds a typical stemmed wine glass. I researched the name, and ordered some already at http://www.yoebi.com/ . Saw some quality lcd tv mounts in a few boats from Max Q. The had a nice ceiling mount in one of the trawlers. I need to redo my mount and I'm going use a Max Q.
