Bolster up chair on 180 sport

Has anyone here changed the factory seat with a bolster up chair in a 180 sport or similar small boat?
If so I would like to know which size works. Most seat seem to be on the large side.
 
With not knowing what type of seats you have in your 180, it's tough to say what would fit.
For a comparison, I looked at doing the same thing to my 175. The seats in my boat were the same as the 185's and 195's. All I had to do was find the right color combo. But after getting prices ranging between $600-800, I quickly decided that it wasn't that important.
I am currently trying to invent something that will do the same purpose.
 
I would get the Vision Air seats. If you were close to Michigan, I would sell you my Star Trek looking seats out of my 220 SD.... :)
 
I like the vision air seats.... hopefully they are still around when I buy a new boat.

As far as the bolster seat goes, I just sit on two throwables. Much cheaper than putting in a new chair!

I would only change the helm seat. Is yours a bolster seat?
 
175 180 185 would all have the same size seat.
Who did you made your enquiries with?
 
I suppose so, just mindful of the cost of shipping.
Would the port side seat still be able to turn around 180 to look at the skier?

Let me know what you want for both and if you can find out cost of shipping too.

Yes, both seats turn 360 deg (limited by the boat not the seat). I do not think the shipping would be much different as the seats could be nested together.

I just went online and the shipping cost is more than the seats are worth (about $850 USD). Not sure if you have any other ideas, but it looks like this will not work out. Sorry!
 
Hello, I have a 2002 176 SRX and bought a bolster captain seat through e-bay in 2005. I think I paid about $250. It fit perfectly,although I trimmed about 2" from the pedestal. I have since seen others on e-bay. I also switched the steering wheel to a tilt unit.
 
I have a '04 185 Sport. Does anyone make/sell a chair that can be raised (adjustable post)?


The back to back my old boat worked great as I would sit on the back of the seat most of the time.
