If you own bike you know what I'm going through. just had the marina winterize my boat. I now have the sad chore of winterizing our two Harley's. I feel like I've lost loved ones.

Same here, had to move my bike outside to make room for my car ( getting chilly in the mornings ) now I'm looking for a good motorcycle shelter that will survive snow. Any ideas? The misses won't go on the bike after Labor Day,"Too cold"

Same here, the scoots were put to bed today. :smt089

Man that really sucks for ya'll I live close enough to Nevada & Arizona that I just load the Harley into the enclosed trailer drive to the Nevada line and leave the truck and trailer at a friends and spend 3-4 days riding south. And as far as a shelter check out the shed's built by Cumberland Buildings at CUMBERLANDBUILDINGS.COM they are very reasonable and are skid mounted. You could rent a pods for winter.

You're supposed to ride your motorcycles all year. Get some gloves and a good leathers and the winter rides are still fun!

I've had various bikes over the years and currently have a Yamaha 1300 FJR Supersport/Touring. They've always been parked in our attached garage and ready to go whenever the weather permits all year. An electric heated jacket has been one of my best investments ever, and it allows me to enjoy riding in colder weather without being bundled up like the "Michelin Man"!

I bought a small enclosed trailer and added a 110v hookup. I have battery tenders and a small heater. Bikes are always ready to go. Its like having a shed on wheels.

What does "winterizing" a hog entail?
Well if you live in America you better add some sta-bil green to take care of this cheap ass gas / ethanol we are forced to buy by the government. And a good servicing and cleaning and polishing any upgrades you may have planned then you just sit and look at her for an hour or so kinda like leaving your wife at home for a month hitch at work but harder.lol

I'm bikeless at the moment but the FJR was the last bike I had and I loved it

I change the oil, filter, transmission and primary fluids. i give them a wash and wax, polish the chrome, clean up the leather and add some gas stabilizer. Hook up a battery tender, cover them up...then just about cry.

I like the heated trailer idea jxg. We have a single garage and i sure miss parking the car in it.

@ greyzone....that's a nice collection of bikes you have. I have a Road king Classic and my wife has an 883 Sportster.

I also know the feeling, just sold my 2011 FLHX Street Glide. Realized not enough time for work, grandchildren, boating, and motorcycles.
Settled for Boating, good family function.

What do you think of the New Harley "Breakout" ?

+1
Last year I upgraded my '04 FJR for a '13 FJR. Als recently added a Super Tenere. Fact is I've spent most of this evening trying to plan where to ride this weekend.
