$1????

um, I recall your selling price being much more than that. Would you consider a commission if the "shot" was purchased from you??

This sounds great, except $1 per boat does not seem appropriate. Perhaps $1 per foot, or half foot, of the vessel.

I have many photos of yachts/other boats from our many boating excursions over the last few years. Would I be able to submit these as well?

Please reconsider these terms. Thanks

I'd cut him some slack on the $1 a picture. His business model appears to be to take the pictures first, then pitch them to the owners. My guess is that his penetration rate is, overall, pretty small and printing/mailing expenses are probably surprising. He would probably be DELIGHTED to go on a percentage, but the business cycle would be such that the commission photogs would probably lose interest...just my $.02.

The original post was an ad to hire people to take pictures of boats, $1 per boat. So now all of the responses are intelligable, and all still equally pointless.

If I would have deleted the thread another would have started asking where the boat pics thread was. So I would have to start from scratch explaining the whole thing. Plus the boatpix guy would have PM'd me asking where his thread went, etc and so on.

By doing what I have done here all I am left with is having to answer one question (yours) and the rest of the explanation is up top.

So its really just a matter of efficiency.
