Boating this weekend (gravel pits, James River), if any SR owners wanna join

Is there still a plan to go up to the pits this coming Sunday? If so can I call in to someone to come out and walk me into this place. I might get Sunday off

There is, but I have a feeling myself and most of my friends are going to cancel. It's only supposed to be a high of 71 (as of now). If I don't go, I'll post here. Maybe next weekend! I usually don't take it out unless it's 80+ degrees.

Ok thanks, I fueled and put a half tank of water on the boat tonight. 75gal of fuel later she's ready to go. Working all day tomorrow. I will check here first

The James is going to be at or above flood stage most of the weekend. I'm not sure I'd want to take a long trip on it with all the junk that is sure to be washed off the shores. I think the most I'll do is get her home from JP (assuming they wrap it up tomorrow). The pit will wait for better water/weather.

I saw that late last night, 1' above flood level. I'm not in the mood to be hitting trees and bodies.
