Hi All,
I am looking for a yard to use this spring in Portland Oregon. I would like to be able to keep the boat in a yard for a couple weeks and pull the props ad wax and possibly repaint the bottom. I would like to do most of the work myself... but may use the yard for some of the work. Of course I am looking foe a reputable yard that is not too costly...
Any suggestions??
Also I need a good prop shop to check/re balance the props..
Thanks,
EXPRESSBOY

Expressboy, I can heartily recommend Multnomah Yacht Repair. They're located on NW Marina Way, just off Hwy 30 (NW St. Helens Road).

The owner, Joe Ashton, is a great guy to work with and their yard does very good work. They did all the work on my boat and Joe bent over backwards to accomodate my requests and went way over the top in designing some mods to the underside of my boat to make sure my extended swim platform would work out.

I don't know how much they will let you do your own work, but you can talk with Joe about that. I think there might be some insurance problem if you do your own work.

If you're interested in seeing some of their work, here's a link:
