Boat towing in North East

Which is better and who are you using. Boat US or Sea Tow????

I had sea tow. Broke down on Labor day weekend and they would not come up 18 miles on the CT River to tow me back to the dock. They said it was too stormy. I do not know what it was 18 miles away, but it was sunny and not a cloud in the sky. End up being towed in by CT DEP.

Thankfully I have only had one occasion to need a tow. I have been a SEA TOW member for years, and when I needed them, they were there. No problems. I had good service, courteous sea captain and a good experience with them. I will continue to be a member of SEA TOW. I am also a member of Boat US withouth the extra towing....

I have both because of my rather extensive cruising range.

They both have locations in Old Saybrook, but it looks like Boat/US has many more bases around LIS than Sea Tow.
