Engines
QS-11 Cummins X2 w. bow thruster
My 2006 52 Sedan Bridge is leaning on a slight, 10 - 15 degree angle (apprx. could be less than that, but noticeable) while sitting docked, we tried looking for simple reasons, i.e taking the sea-doo off the back, checking the engine room and surroundings for water. the boat does go through 300-400 gallons of water per weekend when we are on it. is that normal?

If anyone has this same boat or similar and knows anything regarding this issue, any help or input is welcomed

300-400 gallons for a weekend is excessive. I have an 80 gallon tank and with 4 people onboard I still can't go through it all.

we had 8 on this last weekend and had to fill up twice with water

That's an incredible amount of water even if your crew take 4 showers a day!! Could it be the water is going somewhere in the boat???
Stupid question: did you check the fuel tanks? Fill both them up and see.

You have a pretty good leak there. Lets hope you do not have a saturated core on top of that!!!! A boat that size with a list that bad spells big trouble in my book. Thats a LOT of weight to make it list as bad as you stated..... I would be pulling every access panel I could get my hands on and checking for water. Get someone out there who knows how to use a moisture meter and get that hull checked (as a precaution).

I agree that it must be a fresh water leak. No way you go through that much water unless you are filling a soaker tub a couple of times a day. I also would start pulling access doors and scanning every inch of the bilge looking for water. If it's leaking into an inaccessible area that's not good. Has your bilge pump run at all?

I'll go against the flow and say 300 to 400 gallons a weekend is easy to go through with eight people on the boat all taking moderate showers every day. Not to mention a lot of water can go down the drain doing dishes a half dozen times.

As Redhook mentioned, a boat that size with a list makes me think a core is saturated with water.

Hopefully water is not going under the floor… I got a bad experience..
I wonder if SR is still building the cabin floor so that the bilge is not accessible. I think it was a major defect in boats like mine. If you need to access the hull from the inside there’s no other way than cut through the floor!
