Well looks like my luck is coming to an end. Heard from the mother in law that the step father in law want's to bring his boat down to their house in Punta Gorda. I had been keeping mine there for free but now will have to find it a home again.

I'm looking for a place preferably close to my house in North West Hillsborough County. A secure accessble type parking lot or something. I'd like to find something for $100 or less if possible.

Anyone with suggestions that would be greatly appreciated.

Dang. Sorry about your luck, but I guess you've been pretty lucky to date with storage. We keep ours in rack storage... if I see anything, I'll be sure to post it.

For $100/month? The only thing I could think of would be one of those U-Stor-It type places. There is one on Tampa Rd just west of Race Track Rd, but I have no idea how much it costs.

Those U-Stor-it type plces are a rip off and never have the room. U-Haul wants $300 a month.

I've found a couple of places for between $30 and $60 I just need to go check them out.

Our rack storage is 280 a month and it's pretty well enclosed. U Haul is a rip off.

Let us know how it the 60 dollar place looks.

NO. I just drove by the other day, because it shares a driveway with a place I went to get my daughter soem special-order softball cleats. I'll be around that way over the weekend, and I can swing by and see.

Sorry - didn't make it by. Will try over the next few days. I'm thinking it may be an RV place, but I will try to see if it has boats too.

No problem and no rush. I actually think I found the perfect solution. We like boating in the punta gorda area better then the Tampa Bay area (water is nicer and quicker to the gulf) and we have had our boat at the mother in laws down there. I found a place about 2 miles from her house that will store it for $25 a month I just have to give them 1hr notice and they are only open 7am to 7pm but for $25 I can live with that. So I think that will be the plan for now.

it's about 1.5 hours, but with having family with a house there on a canal that goes out to the harbour/gulf so makes it convient to have the boat in the water all weekend. Normally what I do is leave work early on friday and drive down. Takes about 1.5 hours to get down there then I trailer the boat around to the ramp (about 1 mile from the house) and drop the boat in the water for the weekend. The boating down there is alot nicer then boating in the Tampa Bay and it's quicker to get to the Gulf from there then from where I put the boat in at when in Tampa so yea it's a little bit of a drive but I've used the boat more with it down there then I did when I had it up here where I'm at. 1st week of june we will be there for 2 weeks with a bunch of the family in town so that will be nice.
