Boat Sold

Got me.

wet,

I looked at your boating blog.

Nice job on the blog by the way.

I was reading the post about you waxing the boat. Then I saw the photos. Wow. That was in storage?

They store boats very differently by you.

I pay for indoor heated storage. The boats are stored like sardines in a can. The bow of one boat will extend over the swim platform of the next. The bow anchors are removed to allow a bit tighter spacing.

Side to side there are not feet between boats like in your photo, we have inches. You need to walk the row to find one boat that has something sticking out the side so you only have to go on your knees a short time as you make your way thru the building.

No hard work is allowed on the boats in storage.

You can go get something if you forgot it or just sit the cockpit crying waiting for spring but no risking fire to the other boats. No power tools.

The marina’s mechanics can work on the boat. They work all winter long. I believe the reason owners cannot work on their own boats with power tools, etc. is insurance related.

In spring they will move and block your boat outside in the yard for waxing / etc.

I wonder if the way we do it is unusual or the way it’s done by you is unusual.

The marina is great......The only work we can not do is bottom painting in storage....Hyannis does that for me...all other work can be done.....if we use an outside vendor, they must show insurance......
