As you can see from the pictures I have a few big projects to work on this spring. Unfortunately I have been very busy at work and will not be able to start on my projects until the first week of June, which means I will not be able to splash the boat until the middle of June. :smt089 I am installing a TV, A/C, New Canvas, New fabric for the interior. I wanting to upgrade the head to an electric one, and Change out the carpet inside and a few other modifications but I will not have time this summer for those upgrades. My big project is to install a Air conditioning system. The unit is 5000 BTU and requires 5/8" hose, I purchased a 250 GPH pump and a 1/2" sea strainer, valve, etc. I also purchased a mesh strainer that will use the 5/8" hose. I have marine 12 gauge wiring for the unit and 16 gauge wiring to the water pump. I also have a 15 amp breaker/switch and I have all of the vents/ducting etc. I took off most of the panels inside the cabin to see what I have to work with.

I have a few questions regarding the install of the A/C

Do I have everything I need and do I have the correct products?

How do I run ducting behind the bathroom to the aft cabin? I only see a 3" gap, I have 4" ducting which is insulated so it is really 7" wide.

I will have to mount the unit under the seat on the starboard side. Since this compartment is angled I will have to make a shelf does anyone have any tips for this?

What is the best way/ location to install the thru hull/strainer/ and pump? is there a certain spot where I could mount the thru-hull because of hull thickness? I also don't want anything to become a tripping hazard in the engine compartment

If anyone with a similar boat have any pictures of their setups that would be much appreciated. I am mostly concerned about the location for the thru-hull and water pump. also a picture of the unit located in the compartment would be great.

(photos were taken from my phone so they are not the greatest quality)

I had a 2004 260DA and it had a 9000btu are you aure 5k is going to work ???

95% of the time I boat in Northern Door County Peninsula in Wisconsin. The Peninsula has 20 miles of cold water on one side and 60 miles of very cold water on the other. So Air temp during the hottest days of summer barley break the 80 degree mark. Where mainland Wisconsin will be over 100 degrees on those days. I just wanted something that would take the edge off and get rid of the humidity. I was worried that if I went to the 9000 BTU its run cycle would not be long enough to take the humidity out of the air. The unit also has reverse cycle so the heat will be used a lot especially in fall and spring.
