Boat overheats when captains call is on??????

I have a 07 230 select that I had out today running WOT with the Captains call on and the boat overheated within 10 minutes. I shut her down for about 5 minutes restarted her with the captains call off and she ran fine the remainder of the day. Any time I turned the captains call on she would start to overheat again. I just had the water pump impeller replaced the first of the year and only have put about 20 hours on her this year. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks!!!

Check out your plumbing, sounds like the water isn't leaving the exhaust system as fast as it would like to.
