I am looking at boat motor flushers and there's alot to choose from... pros and cons... any recommendations for my 92 Sea Ray?

I used an eddie marine flush kit - inexpensive, easy to install - way better than muffs - not sure about bypassing the outdrive on an alpha though - in the water it would likely be fine, but out of the water you could likely roast the impeller.....may be forced to use muffs

yes, really looking at muffs... lots to choose from and i (obviously) want to get the best one...

The muffs are not the same as being in the water. The hose will add pressure. Volumes differ. Should not take it above idle for fear of having insufficient volume. The factory approved impeller test requires the boat to be in the water and the volume of water pumped is measured. I put in a dash gauge showing pressure but don't see any till I'm in the water and off idle. New impeller and I disassembled it once because my new gauge didn't register while on the muffs.

My buddy winterizes by filling a tub with coolant and "Y" ing to the hose and muffs. Once a solid flow is established, he switches the Y to sucking out of the tub and turns off the hose. Engine is shut down before tub is emptied.

This West marine double clamp allows the hose to rotate down while maintaining spring pressure at 90 degrees through big 2nd clamp.
