Boat launch fail...

Everytime they launch our boat I think that is going to happen. It wobbles and rocks on the lift, of course I watch it as often as I can.

:wow::wow::wow: :smt089:smt089:smt013:smt013I cannot understand if the boat slipped out of the belts* itself, or did it hit the ship and then it felt down????

* is it the right word?? Sorry for my english....

Ouch! I saw a nearly new 50-ft Ocean Alexander from Richmond fall from the front strap (only 3 ft off the ground) in the parking lot of my marina. The pin "fell" out of the strap and it came crashing down. Crash and down it went. Pretty surreal.

And the boat owner was never told by the marina owner. Makes ya wonder what else goes on that they don't tell ya.....

This video is terrible though! I saw it a few years back, and it haunts me. Lol! I hate to have mine lifted with straps......

This was posted earlier in a longer version (more lead in footage). In the longer version it looks like the boat was not high enough to get the running gear over the safety railings. Either the props, or rudders, go caught in the railings. Before the crane operator knew it the slings were pulled away from under the boat.

It looks like the front strap was lowered slightly, causing the boat to start slipping. The straps do not look like they were placed properly to begin with. Never saw a boat that big without 3 straps, and tied together.

 Did anyone hear what the docker says after the fall???
i cant understand it

He may have said, "That's going to cost us a lot of money!" in some other language.

I remember seeing this before... and I believe the end result was crane operator failure!

You can fix or buy a new boat, but you can't do much with that toliet water of a lake or river. I'd be landlocked forever, if that was my home water. I admit, I'm a Lake Michigan snob
