That’s a good one!. When I watch those Miami boat ramp youtube channels I get the same cringing feeling. There are so many people that buy boats and have no clue how to properly drive them. Every year in our marina there are one or two. Luckily all the boats around me are all 20 plus year veterans and know what they are doing. But when I was on the small boat docks, it was a chit show every weekend. (And not because of me!)

Proof that most damage occurs from the panic after the initial error. If he just sits there with the current pushing him against the bow of the docked boat, he can just wait for dock hands to use his lines to pull him around the boat. With no damage. Instead, he bails and panics.
