I have a 97 330 sundancer which is fuel injected....when running and gets warmed up after about 15 minutes it slowly starts to flood out on one motor and then dies. After it cools off it will fire up again. They replaced the distributor cap(thought the chip looked broken) and rebuilt the carb and even switched the carbs port to starboard with no avail? Any ideas? They are talking about replacing the two ignition modules located in front of the distributor cap?

You say floods how did you determine that?
It stalls?
Pull plugs and plugs are gas soaked?
Sounds more like vapor lock starving for fuel.
If really flooding check the gas vent tube from the fuel pump. Should be dry no fuel. If any fuel the diaphragm in the fuel pump is leaking
Could use more detailed symptoms

Has the fuel pump outlet pressure been checked? I've had fuel pumps failed and put out high pressure that will force fuel passed the needle and seat and flood an engine. Carbs can't handle more than 6-7 psi fuel pressure.

I am not sure the answer to either question....my mechanic is a younger fellow and I am hoping it is nothing stupid.....thanks for the info, I will pass along and have him check these items. I just figured there were some experienced fellas out there that had experienced the same issues. Thanks

I think I figured out the problem....hottoddie....you were correct. It was running at 13 PSI. Replaced it, now just waiting on the lake to calm down before a sea trial. Thanks for all the help.

Sounds like you have found a problem. Faulty choke operation can also cause flooding symptoms at idle on a warm engine.
