Boat Fires

Sitting here listening to the fire department scanner as my son is working tonight and they just gave out a boat fire at Hart-Miller Island. A 26-30 foot fully involved. Luckly there are no injuries.
Sucks to be out enjoying the water and that happens.:smt009

Fires don't happen spontaneously. Someone usually has to help it along by either doing something bad or not doing maintenance. In other words, let's all pay attention out there!

Happened at my marina a few years back. The guy was keeping his bilge warm with a couple of heat lamps and timer. Timer didn't go off, and you can imagine what's next.
