How much should I expect to pay for a boat cover for my 260 Sundancer. I was given a quote of $1,500 which I think is high, but have nothing on which to base that opinion.

As a side note, I actually like the boat without a cover. I have it behind the house, and I like sitting on the boat at the end of the day with a drink, iPad, music, etc. My only real concern is keeping the seating in a new like condition. I do use seat conditioner on a regular basis, and so far the seats look great. Your thoughts?

Do you have the arch? I have my cover from my 2003 260DA available. I wanted to sell it before the winter but never got it out of storage. It is a custom fit for the boat but I did not have the arch.

I do have the arch, and also have a camper cover for the boat. However, I'm just looking for a cockpit cover that goes over the windshield to the back of the boat. If you have such a cover, it may well fit even though I have the arch. Do you have any pictures of the covedr on the boat, and how much would you want for it, including shipping?

$1500 for a custom made Sunbrella cover that will last many years is money well spent. That is a lot of work to get right and I doubt you will find a canvas shop to do it much cheaper. Tell them you want it tight to the inside of the arch with weather seal.

Yes, money well spent and a cover comes off & goes on easily. Good protection & keeps things clean.

    Where are you located?

There could be someone close that has recommendations on canvas shops.

I purchased a New Cockpit cover for my 06 260DA with an Arch from Great Lakes just before Christmas for $750. It was a 25% off sale. Great deal and very well made. I believe they have this sale a couple of times throughout the year.

I've had three custom made covers. All were full covers down to 6" above the water line. Sunbrella, with Velcro flaps for mooring or dock lines etc. boat sizes were 24' to 30'. Average cast was $1,300 to $1,800, so I'd say your quote is in line.
