Russ, As Dom mentioned... You can also stay a my house in Toms River, and keep your boat here as well.... I owe you for your hospitality at Block Island.... If you like I can go with you to look at the boat... As far as a surveyor, Contact Brian at Dillon's Creel Marina, http://www.dillonscreekmarina.net/ He is very honest, owns a Sea Ray, and has many Sea Rays at his marina...
We looked at 450's and 460's at the same time. At 6' 2" +, I can't stand at the helm of the 450's I looked at and the 460 is great but we were able to get such a good deal on the 410 it sealed the deal. We think the 410 is the perfect size for us with the 2 heads, stand up shower and diesels we are happy as can be. The 460 is a lot of boat and if we spent more time in blue water, that would be something I would look into. The only thing Sea Ray got wrong is storage in the cockpit. If there was storage under the seats in the back it would be perfect!
When we rafted up with you in block, we felt like a tender tied up to your 37.
We will be reduced to dingy status next year....

I'd consider buying the thing without the repairs being completed - and that would save you a bit of stress, Russ - Let me know, I'm always looking for a new project.
Would anyone be interested in a restored 340??? It's in decent shape...
