Hi, I would like some advice on best boarding ladders for boarding/de-boarding to/from fixed docks (that is, from the side deck).
In our normal cruising area of Long Island Sound most marinas have floating docks, so we board on/off the swim platform. But as we noticed cruising south, the norm seems to be fixed docks.
Any suggestions for a lightweight, portable ladder or step stool that works well for the variety of floating dock heights that one encounters? I’d prefer one that doesn’t have to be permanently attached to the deck, although I’m open to all good solutions. Thanks!
