Has anyone replaced a hot water heater on a 93' 400EC ?
can it be done without removing the starboard engine?
 
Below is a pic of your problem....see the clearance issue.
Maybe, just maybe....if you strip the engine down including pulling the head you'll have room to get it out on an angle.
Its smarter and easier to yank the motor OR replace it with a smaller water heater unit somewhere else in the ER.

Water heater is in the top right of the pic under the deck...

Here's the access you'll have with the motor out of the way.
(yes, I replaced mine at this point!)
It's really not that big of a job to pull a gas motor out of the 400EC.
I did it myself but, maybe talk to your yard about a winter project...
