Blue Angels show in Annapolis now cancelled

man, seems im never gonna be able to make a show this year....damn
 
Yep, the news says all canceled for the rest of the year.
 
As of last week most shows were canceled except their schedule still had Annapolis as "on". No more... Thank you Sequestor. I thought for sure with the cancellation of the White House tours the show would be safe....
 
just when the weather get nyce, bull**** has shown its face once again. Screw it can always take a cruise on the river!!!!
 
Politicians simply believe that restricting or cancelling things people like to do is the best way to get them to pay more in taxes. White House tours???? Come on....doesn't it belong to us?

I travel internationally alot and Dulles custom lines have gotten out of control to "punish" the people who should be willing to pay more in taxes. The pathetic part was the exit line where they collect the custom form that nobody reads or keeps. The line to exit was 100 yards long. The sad part was there were only 3 agents collecting the forms and 5 standing and watching the crowd. It was like they were told to not help but still worked their shifts.

Well - I would like to visit the US more often - but I am really tired of having to wait in line 2-4 hours in JFK just for passport check. In the old days I had "Entry Gate Pass" so I could just walk through. Now it is 2 hours wait if you are lucky. I wonder how JFK does not seem to have enough staff? The have had since 1948 to rehearse and know EXACTLY how many people are arriving - many days ahead (plus / minus a few). The passport check and "interview" takes less than 1 minute. And since security check can take 2-4 hours - many people miss their connecting flights.

The managers/operators in such places should just be handed a termination letter. It hurts your tourism more than you would like to know. I also had ONE guy in security check - always the same old fart - how despite polite requests - always just turned your backpack upside down - with no regard to what was in it. If that was my first impression of the US and its people - I would have turned around and left again.
 
They've taken folks from the airports and placed more here at Jamestown Ferry, the boat is rarely full, security does their job from the inside of a booth, and they work only 10 minutes out of every 45. Yet, they are adding more manpower.
