I have a 2008 Searay 195 and a friend of mine says that I can have the binimi for his 2008 Searay 205. Will his binimi fit my 195? The Bimini was purchased with his boat new from a local Searay dealer in his area.

Depends on the widths. Do the two boats have the same beam? If so, even if you had to make minor modifications it should fit fine. They can be within 6" and still work.

Your 195 has a 7'6" beam and the 205 has a an 8' beam. There's only a 4" difference between them so at the very least you should entertain the idea by trying a loose fit. Bimini's pop on and off so quick it shouldn't be a big deal for you. Looking at the specs of both boat on SR's website, it appears both are pretty close and may even use identical wind shields so you might already have the mounts in place for the tie straps, but you'll probably need to remount the post anchors. Don't try and force the larger bimini poles into your existing mounts. Although it's only a 4" difference, the stress could cause the fiberglass to develop stress cracks.

...but a free bimini, heck ya, give it a go and good luck!

It should be easy to measure across both boats to find if there is a width issue. By the way, 8'-7'6"=6"

Do either of the boats have a wake tower? I know the 195 and 205 w/ tower's had completely different bimini's.

Good point on the stress cracking. Are the bimini's mounted to the windshield frame? Might not be an issue. Could possibly bend a tighter curve on the new bows.

I know that aftermarket biminis suggest they're flexible to within 6 inches (or 4 inches depending on where you're from). But these SeaRay biminis usually have stainless bows. May not be as flexible. Tubing bender may be the best bet.

But again, if the price is free, it could never hurt to try.
