The black plastic inserts in a couple of the ball & sockets for the bimini are worn out after 2 seasons. I have had MM look at it and they told me I would have to replace the ball & socket assy about $50 each. So after a couple of phone calls to the manufacture www.tacomarine.com - I was able to locate replacement inserts for $1.20 each. I will post more when I get time.Below are pictures of insert

Brian, call a different MM. Those guys are all wet.

The SR part number & description out of the 260 parts manual for the inserts is "1760358 INSERT, DECK HINGE BALL/SOCKET BLK". I picked up 2 of them last year at the local MM. They were very cheap, $2 and change for both of them.

You can download the 250DA part manual from SR's web site.

Ok I feel pretty dumb right about now.I just looked at the 240 parts manual and the insert is listed. Oh well It only took me a couple of phone calls to find the inserts the round about way. I guess the parts guy at MM was just being lazy the day I stopped by to ask about the inserts.

My Sea Ray dealer told me the same thing, that I had to replace the entire stainless fitting to replace the plastic insert.

Piersupply.com. You'll have to call there for it. $1.20 each. $10.00 min order. Ordered 5 and a spare pin.

I got mine from West marine....about $1.20 each + $15 Shipping and Handling....pissed me off because they wouldn't give me the price prior to ordering them. So I paid $20 for 6 (still cheaper than replacing the SS ball & socket).
