Down in the bilge yesterday organizing and preparing to mount a new bilge pump. I've got two pumps in the bilge with 4 wires going to each pump. How does the wiring work with these?
I know 1 wire is 12v from battery source, one wire is 12v from helm switch and one wire would be ground, what is the 4th wire?
How does it interface with the Searay Alarm Panel at the helm?
Right now if I turn on the helm switch the pump does not activate and the alarm panel sound is broken up and chirpie not a solid alarm tone, however if the pump activates by itself while running the alarm is a solid tone. (It does this for the forward emerg. pump also). Both pumps work fine on their own.
Possibly voltage loss from the helm switches to the pumps ?
